Dr Rochelle Robicheaux Metoyer is a graduate of Tulane University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Ochsner Medical Center. Dr Robicheaux served an additional year as Chief Resident of Internal Medicine at Ochsner and went on to complete a fellowship in Rheumatology at Ochsner. After her fellowship, she was hired by Ochsner as a staff rheumatologist where she worked for two years. She was drawn to North Louisiana while her husband was matriculating through his LSU Shreveport residency.
Dr Robicheaux is a board certified Rheumatologist and also maintains her board certification in Internal Medicine. Her special interests include systemic lupus, scleroderma, inflammatory muscle diseases , rheumatoid arthritis and osteoporosis.
She loves traveling and spending time with her husband, Dr Kenneth Metoyer Jr, and their three children Nyah, Austyn, and Beau.
Dr Robicheaux speaks Creole French fluently and loves cooking her favorite creole dishes , seafood gumbo and smothered okra.
